ELECTRONIC VOICE PHENOMENA (EVP)

  MYRTLES PLANTATION

What was eventually labeled "Paratour 2010" began with my solo trip to Louisiana to investigate the Myrtles Plantation with a group of people who were mostly working together for the first time. Also my friend and former radio show guest Chris Fleming was on board. Needless to say, the plantation lived up to it's reputation.

Location - Caretaker's house.
Set up: attempting to evoke a response, a British investigator suggests that the U.S. lost in the battle if independence from English rule.

00:00 - George: Be more specific on "Do you know"
00:02 - British investigator: "Do you know you lost the war?"
00:03 - EVP: "America won the war"

This is one of my favorites of all time. A potential actual EVP of Chloe the slave who haunts these grounds. As you listen you can hear her distinct Creole accent.

00:01 - EVP - "Unless you are a guest...you don't talk to me."
00:03 - George - "You know what's funny.....?"
00:05 - EVP - "..You don't talk to me."

Now I'm not one to normally post noises...but during paratour 2010 there were a few too cool not to share. These were prominent footsteps in the Caretaker's bldg. A 10 x 10 ft room with just myself and an investigator names Rita who was sitting on a bed. I was standing still.

00:02 thru 00:08 - (You hear footsteps and movement...and camera clicks)
00:10 - George - "Rita?"
00:11 - Rita - "Um-hmm?"
00:12 - George - "I'm not walking"
